Reverse engineering enables attackers to understand app internals, extract hardcoded secrets, discover API endpoints, and identify security weaknesses. Mobile apps are particularly vulnerable because the client code runs on user-controlled devices. Without protections, attackers can fully analyze app behavior.
Obfuscate code and string resources. Use anti-debugging techniques to prevent runtime analysis. Store secrets in secure enclaves rather than app bundles. Implement certificate pinning and runtime integrity checks. Minimize sensitive logic in client-side code.
The same feature written the risky way, then with the fix applied.
